Widget Blueprints

For this project, I recreated the crafting menu from The Last of Us in Unreal 5. My goal was to learn more about UI and Widget Blueprints.

I used AGR Pro to keep track of the inventory. The menu is added to the IWALS character using an actor component.

The icons and text will update and animate to reflect changes in item count and when crafting items. Text like material name and description is provided by a data table.

I wanted sharp icons, so I retraced the icons from screenshots using the pen tool in Figma. And, I modelled some placeholder props in Blender to have some in-game items to collect.
